One thing I’ve observed is that there is a direct correlation between your health and how much you enjoy your job. The more stressful and unhappy you are at work, the more likely you are to experience health issues. They may not show up right away in and early 30s, but decades working in the soul-crushing job will take its toll on the body.

Ever notice how when you’re doing something you’re passionate about, you have tons of energy? But when you’re bored or feeling trapped, it drains your energy. The idea of quitting your job can be stressful in itself. It triggers a great deal of fear—an emotion that drains your qi or life force energy.

Worrying over finances is bad for your digestion, and feeling trapped and stuck can affect the flow of qi in your body. So how do you move forward in a way that feels safe and expansive? Because when you know you have a higher calling, you know you can’t stay at your current position for much longer.

I know this myself, because it’s my story. I worked for over 15 years in a career that I was not passionate about. It was stressful and demanding, and I was underpaid and under-appreciated. In my twenties, it didn’t affect my health. But as the responsibilities grew, the pressure from work built up, and I was bored out of my mind, and felt resentful, angry, and that life had no meaning.

But I still stuck it out!!!

It wasn’t until my body spoke up by breaking down that I finally walked away from my “successful” career. And as difficult as it might seem for you right now to do the same, I can assure you that when you walk away, you will realize how much harder it was for you to stay. Leaving is MUCH easier. Leaving gives you the freedom to pursue your passions—and that’s what rejuvenates your health.

But our minds get scared, which is why I’ve especially chosen this group of podcast episodes. They’ll help allay your fears, and get you moving forward with ease and flow.
