Do you ever feel like a tumbleweed being tossed and turned by your circumstances? Perhaps you feel like you have no control over a situation. Every time you try to right yourself—just as the wind starts to die down and you feel that you can finally plant your feet—a new gust from a completely different direction comes along and whips you onto an unexpected path.
Here’s what the Universe has to say about trying to steer your life:
How can you have what you want in life if the wind is blowing you willy nilly all over the place?
What if we told you that the wind you are resisting is actually guiding you to where you need to go?
The resistance arises because your mind does not want to go there. That’s because sometimes you are headed towards something that your mind views as unpleasant.
But other times, it is something that is quite beautiful.
And sometimes, the unpleasantness is what you need to be pass through in order for you to appreciate the beauty that follows
It’s like needing to drive along a barren highway in order to reach the most amazing destination.
The road trip can be scenic, or you can grit your teeth and bear it. It’s all up to you.
Do you want to be in the moment and enjoy the ride? Or do you want to focus solely on the destination, and see the journey as lacking?
Because when you do see the journey for what it—a necessary gift that leads you where you want to go—you stop trying to rush through it.
You slow down and appreciate the experience. You see that there are moments of delight along the side of the road. You also arrive much more rested, and are able to appreciate your destination with even more gratitude and wonder.
